Glass Art: Glass to dream

Designed as a full, glass is an art object in itself to stained glass artists, who developed various techniques such as vitraux or Vitrofusion, among other ways to create beauty from the glass. In this way, with the exception of drawings and incorporated some elements of secondary structure, all other means of aesthetic or decorative art glass will be expressed by the glass.

Other materials are also integrated into the work, but always in a secondary role. Nacre or stones, for example, are some of those elements in any way take away protagonism glass. Either way, it will receive input from various forms, techniques and artistic search.

Thus the relationship between glass and light, and a rich range of variations and contrasts, is one of the aesthetic. Another may be changing the way the effect of temperature, or the use of different types of paints that will work or specific reasons allusive, always using the glass as a main channel of expression.

In the picture we see a glass sculpture by David Patchen, one of the most important art glass. The piece consists of hundreds of glass tiles and is complemented by bars colored in different shades of fabric. We see in this example the power of art and decorative techniques, which undoubtedly can be transformed into an ideal choice to customize a corner in any environment.
