Eggling An egg hatches plant
From the land of the rising sun comes Eggling. This beautiful metaphor has the texture and the size of a large egg, which must crack the top with a spoon to discover a garden ready to grow. Its culture is easy, "the seeds are already planted in the peat mixture, just have to water it and place it on a site with light. Plants grow up to five months in the egg after which they can be transplanted.
Very popular in Japan where it is manufactured by hand with white porous ceramic, Eggling (54 mm x 47.5 mm) comes with a terra cotta tray and an extra seed pack to insure success. There are eight "versions" available: four herbs (basil, Italian parsley, mint, thyme) and four flowers (chrysanthemum, lobelia, phlox, petunia).
