One of the first things you see before you buy a chair is the functioning of their legs.  If you do not look strong or if the chair wobbles at the slightest pressure, is likely to desist from its acquisition.  What about the Cut chair, a chair with legs literally cut?

This design presents Peter Bristol, at first glance, a chair with three legs broken.  The seat, therefore, is only supported on one leg side.  Impossible to think of sitting down, right?  No, there is no problem with the chair and Cut chair is a fully functional.  The secret lies in a clever optical illusion achieved through the carpet beneath her.

The carpet, which seems part of the decor, hides the base of the chair.  A reinforced beam is anchored to the base and stabilizes the chair.  The legs severed, therefore, do not comply with a supporting role.

Cut hard to believe that the chair is really stable, but the images speak for themselves.  All indications are that a man can stand on the seat without moving the chair.  The optical illusion, therefore, is a success.

Cut chair

Cut chair is one of those furniture design deceive us.  Our sense of sight captures an image and our brain processes information, but the conclusion above is inaccurate.  Bristol appeals to a subtle deception to conceal the true base of the chair under the carpet.  Therefore, when an unknown visitor enters a house operation where the Cut chair, you will not believe what you see.
