Feng Shui in the kitchen
In the kitchen match two of the five elements of Feng Shui, water (yin) and fire (yang), which must know harmonize and balance energy in order to keep chi (universal energy) and thus obtain positive effects.
To achieve overall welfare, should be done in the kitchen a center of balance, peace, harmony and meeting.

The kitchen should be clean, airy and well lit. The more light there will be greater prosperity at home, a good idea is to place a spot of light in every corner of the kitchen, from the bottom up, to avoid stagnation.
Regarding the location, the kitchen must look to the center of the house which is the position of good fortune. The most recommended direction is west. Something very important thing to remember is that the front door of the house is not in parallel and in view of the front door of the kitchen.
In Feng Shui well-stocked kitchen is a symbol of wealth and abundance, we must therefore strive to have the fridge well stocked with food at all hours, every day of the week, as it replaces the urn full of rice that traditionally placed the Chinese in the kitchen to make sure they never would lack enough to eat.
The components of each group, fire and water should be together but separately from each other, not next to each other, or facing, ie neither the oven or cooking fires must be confronted with the cold nor with the sink. When the space is small and limits us, what we can do is separate them symbolically using a wooden cutting board or some other object that can also be decorative, like a ceramic vase.

Fires should never be located under a window or in a corner, since both mean vulnerability to negative energies. Moreover, we place so that the doorway to the kitchen would not be back to the person who is cooking, as success and family income will be disadvantaged. If we have enough space, ideal for fires is in the center, ie on an island. In the event that the space does not permit this, a good solution may be to place a mirror to see what happens behind us.
As for the stove, these should always be bright and should work correctly as well as being used regularly, because they represent the prosperity of home and family.
The most desirable colors are warm and calm, but not too hot to avoid excessive heat, or too water to keep water off the fire. They should create a relaxed atmosphere for the moment we sat down to eat.
To increase the positive flow of Chi can place centers chose fruit, vegetables and fresh flowers.
If possible we must have in the kitchen a comfortable table for breakfast and we can use as a side table, as this room should be a place of creation and also to meet. This side table we also can serve as a separator between the components of each group (fire and water).
