Cozy terraces
As I have told in previous post, the terrace of your apartment can become a stay over the house in which to spend moments of fun and relaxation with family and friends. If you have a garden, not abandon you because you feel surrounded by nature, here are some tips for creating an intimate and cozy on your terrace or balcony.
An open terrace in the sun, air and sky can experience the feeling of more space, more luminous and, thanks to plants, more alive. You just have to find ways of coping with strong winds, intense sun, poor guidance, or an unattractive view, so that our terrace did not become a bleak place.
Starting from the ground, for example dress with a wooden deck can be warm even in winter, although there are always the terrazzo floors of earthenware or as a good option. For the fence, the rails are ideal for work that give a sense of greater security and privacy and they can be perfectly coupled planters. It is also imperative that your deck is covered with a pergola, canopy or large umbrella, all of course subject to weather.
The plants are responsible for creating a microclimate and fundamental part in the ambience of the terrace. For example the added coolness and shade vines, shrubs and trees protect you from prying eyes, and flowering plants large or small, give joy and color. Note that too much weight of plants and pots can be a problem for the building structure, it would be advisable to resort to plastic pots. As for choosing them, choose the kind that are within their small size and slow growth.
