The designs of the art "Topiary" (pictured) emerged in ancient Rome, reaching its peak of splendor in the imperial gardens of Europe. At present, too, usually incorporated in some gardens. The objective is to achieve, thanks to the creative gardener's hand, the most original and unusual in the garden with the material provided by shrubs, for example.

Animal shapes, mazes, perfect conical structures ... the list of possibilities is endless, with the only limit to the creativity of the gardener. Perhaps today, when it is given the simplicity and functionality, the most overcrowded, high-impact visual topiary not have too much room. But its beauty, no doubt, still amazed.

Mostly in France and England, the topiary was used to design the classic green labyrinth, a hallmark of the gardens of the imperial era. Geometry carefully, it is now possible to enjoy them in a state almost identical to the original. Also, cut shrubs with spherical and conical forms used in the context of access to the castles and palaces, giving the image of magnificence and order that the schemes required.

Unfortunately, today no longer has the time required for the development of a topiary garden. His style ornamental deliberately lost weight compared to the current approach to saving time and maintenance costs, leading to more functional spaces external decoration. However, it is always possible to incorporate some topiary detail: for example, geometric forms in bushes pruned regularly. Our garden, then, you win a lot in art and beauty.
