Cultivating exotic orchids, is one pastime that has this young couple, which was our first release for the design of this project, hence the name we attach to the house.
Based on the parties to settle an orchid, roots, stem and flower is born this particular form of housing, rooted in the center of a large field in a neighborhood where prioritizes quality of life.  Its position is exempt and withdrawn from the city line meets privacy requirements by the customer and the colonization of the land search.

Respecting the flower structure, the house consists of three parts:
The roots, which covered the garage and access, as the area closer to the street;
The stem, which runs from connector between the root and flower, designed as a trail where you can view the works of art collected by the couple;  And finally the flower petals and divided into the bulb, where each petal has a different function, and the central space containing the vertical circulation and provides overhead light to all environments represents the bulb, which connects the ground and Upstairs, as a union between the petals.

For the layout of the environments from two premises: first, public service group housing on the ground floor and private functions upstairs, while each room provide the best guidance as to its function was our second premise.  Getting the perfect orientation for each environment, we activate each function of housing according to the path of the sun, allowing important energy savings. This premise is as important as solving a bioclimatic house led us to work with the incidence of the sun, from the location of the rooms until resolution of each volume in particular, studying abroad and their angles necessary withdrawal of carpentry, varying according to their orientation, which, in addition to responding to energy savings, this project gives a unique formal richness.  The use of walls, trim and ceiling cavity, as well as the strategic location of windows in both flip and the ground floor circulation core to circulate warm air in summer, are other responses given this house the issue of energy saving.  All this explains its formal complexity, rich externally and internally, it also responds to the intent of each petal by framing a picture as a visual and so once again take over their environment.  A concrete and glass flower, which grew from a program of requirements, a metaphor that speaks of its users, and a thorough study and resolution of details that make this a bioclimatic house, unique and bold.
