Kohler LivingHomes: prefabricated and sustainable housing
The Kohler Living Home is an interesting product housing that arises from an alliance between LivingHomes and Kohler. This office designed by Kieran Timberlake and aims to achieve a certification LEED Platinum through a high standard of materials, products and technologies that pursue a low impact on the environment. It can be seen that characteristics such as prefabrication, recycling of materials or low impact on the work force are an important part of how we think this project when implemented.
This house was designed under the standards it seeks Living Homes called Z6: Zero Water, Zero Energy, Zero Waste, Zero Emissions, Zero Carbon, and Zero Ignorance, recently received an important recognition by the SDT in Long Beach, California. Details in the following video editing.

With a business cost not exceeding $ 500,000, this two-story home includes solutions from recycled steel, a ventilation system distributed through mini-products, recycled glass tiles, water-saving systems and time monitoring real expenditure on water, gas and electricity. All designed to minimize the ecological footprint. Inside photos below.
