As first built work, the House Kiltro tends to be a declaration of principles on how to aspire to do architecture in Latin America.
The development process was so unstable that all architectural design resources available were to be exercised up to the challenge that this house located in the Central Valley of Chile.

Everything was in flux: the budget, program, areas, building permits, contractors, even the light changed during the course of the project
The strategy: to explore based on errors rather than on certainties.
The result: a mix, a bastard design, a fusion, like a mongrel dog, as they say in Chile: a "Kiltro.
The climate strategy Kiltro House is simple: wooden wing is calculated as the angle of the sun north and west closed. All windows are opened (except for the tip) to allow cross ventilation.
These windows are Termopaneles, and the house is fully insulated with 100mm Aislapol. They had considered two types bosca fireplaces, but finally remained only a gas stove which serves to heat the entire house.

In terms of materiality, is steel, aluminum and glass, recyclable and lightweight materials. The stone slab is in the area, and wood is cypress, fallen trees.
