'Flex' is a family home of 3 levels of approximately 260 mt2 built in Palmira, Colombia.
Built using local building techniques and local contractors 'Flex' is a modern representation of a very traditional type of housing. The terrain is 6m x 15m and is located in the urban perimeter of the city of Palmira, Colombia.
Architecturally, 'Flex' is based on two ideas: the first are two flexible walls that contain storage in the house: the external facade of concrete and steel internal structure.
The second idea is based on 2 yards of internal light which fill each room with natural light. These courtyards are open to Colombian tropical bathing the house with light, while providing ventilation to the building.
