One of the graces of the Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe (1951) is that at elevated 1.5m above the ground, to remove it from flooding in the industry is located where. But unfortunately missing Mies centimeters since 1956 and in 1996 the house was hit by rises of the river nearby.

But a few days ago, and due to the flooding which occurred on Hurricane Ike, staying home with 40 cm of water in it. That is, the river rose almost 2 meters, surpassing what Mies had planned as a safe height.

While the rain was one of those that occur every 500 years, "I wonder what Iran to do to prevent further flooding, as clearly the problem is that the site is located. We will have to do with leaving these gringos.
