Intervene a landscape so majestic as the Andes required to do so with great respect and sensitivity, because it is a demanding situation.

The mountain range, an empty uninhabited, but a large area with its own life, always changing with a single force, where the sky over the clouds surrounding us ranging from opaque to shiny or staining with the full range of colors snowy mantles .

The sun gives us so every chance of light that come their way and we identify the activities that take place throughout the day.
The work is located in one edge of the small Andean town of La Parva, with skiable snow field where you go out to take the lifts that connect to the ski slopes higher and where in the evening becomes their shelters. Therefore, the work accompanied by his series of volumes, with its light and shade, that dialogue that aims to combine with the medium that contains it.

The commission consisted of a building of 24 apartments of 100 to 140 m2 to be located in the 3 sites that collect the light fused privileged and north orientation, its main facade. This created 4 volumes which themselves down the slope, overlapping each other to favor the sunlight and the view we have of the valley at sunset.

A building that is installed in this prominent position is a major challenge that must be done with humility and restraint. Thus, the building reflects the scale to the street respecting people's eyes to the upper valley of buildings. We choose to use local stone for both the facade and to the north side socket, and blends with the surrounding landscape, especially in the summer months.

The roof works as the great cloak and blanket that contains the departments of inclement weather lowered down parallel to the slope of the hill. The top floors are clad with asbestos cement boards in order to control the scale to the field. The other volumes are working on concrete painted white to join the environment and stand out only through the interplay of light and shadow that make their overlapping planes. Behind them, a bridge connects the 2 volume groups and the 2 floors of parking are developed flat on the hill.
Inside, the departments have a thermal insulation poliplac 10 cm. which together with the windows ensure optimal temperature Termopaneles supplemented through the north facing with a minimum consumption of heat.
