Ever, following the footsteps of Alessi, there is more interest among design firms in order for architects media projects, from Norman Foster to Jean Nouvel. As a strategy to renew its collections with new blood, every day more manufacturers are opting to make objects designed by architects. This, for many of them is normal, it became clear in the Milan Furniture Show 2006. Jean-Marie Massaud, Mario Botta, Nigel Coates, Steven Holl himself or Foster & Partners sign products for companies such as American or Techno Emeco. Other architects who participated in this version were Massimiliano Fuksas, who designed the new complex and the Rho-Pero Israeli Ron Arad, who did work for Dolce & Gabbana.

One of the major milestones in this area, produced in April 2000, Zaha Hadid was when it launched its Z-Scape collection for the Italian Sawaya & Moroni. Today, the architect becomes a surprise with his latest collection, Futuristic Kitchen, where the possibilities of using new materials such as Corian ®, tries to interpret the uses of modern cuisine.

But perhaps what sets this version of the room from previous years are re-editions of historical items. Aalvar Alto, Le Corbusier and Gio Ponti, far from forgotten, are a tribute both industry and the public.
